Black Family Wellness Expo 2025

Black families throughout the CSRA concerned about their health and wellness got an opportunity to learn more last Saturday, March 15 at the 2025 Black Family Wellness Expo at the Henry Brigham Community Center, 2463 Golden Camp Rd., Augusta.

There were an array of free health services such as kidney screenings, cancer screenings, dental care, blood pressure checks, diabetes education, registration to become an organ donor, Alzheimer's support and preventive care. The Concerned National Black Nurses of the CSRA were on hand to provide health screenings and answer health-related questions.

There was also a farmers' market, and experts on-hand to explain the advantages of academic tutoring; life, dental and medical insurance; and the pursuit of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics education.

The event also included a DJ, food trucks, line dancing, prizes and giveaways.

The event was sponsored by the Augusta chapter of The Links Inc., a volunteer service organization dedicated to fostering Black cultural and economic survival.
