Salvation Army Compassion in Action Luncheon

Posted 6 months ago by Wendy Sawyer

On May 17, dozens of volunteers gathered at the Kroc Center to be honored and celebrated by the Salvation Army. The Compassion in Action annual luncheon recognized and awarded Red Kettle bell ringers, Thrift Store workers, canned food and toy drives helpers, and other volunteers who had gone above and beyond to support the Salvation Army in their mission of doing good in the community. Unfortunately, the need for homeless and homeless shelter services are still necessary and the Salvation Army is there to offer jobs, lodging, meals and other types of assistance to those in need.

The Concerned National Black Nurses of the CSRA has always been a friend of the Salvation Army, contributing hours to ringing the Red Kettle bell during the holiday season and working in the Thrift Store. We are proud to give back and to help them “do the most good”.
