Candidate Forums

Partnership for the People invites all citizens of Augusta-Richmond County to two community forums.  These forums are voter education events in preparation for the May 21 elections. The first will be Saturday, April 20, 2024, 10am -12pm. This forum will feature candidates running for Augusta Commission Districts 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. The second forum will be Saturday, April 27, 2024, 12:30-2:30pm. This forum will include the candidates for Superior Court Judge and District Attorney of the Augusta Judicial Circuit, and Richmond County Sheriff. We will also offer a discussion regarding the referendum to determine whether the mayor of Augusta shall have the right to vote on all matters before the Augusta-Richmond Commission.

The candidates will then respond to questions prepared in advance. As time permits, we will accept questions from members of our audience. They can submit their questions in writing at the event.

Both forums will be held at A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School, 1324 Laney Walker Blvd. Augusta, 30901 in the school auditorium.
