Accepting CNBN Awards at the NBNA Conference in July 2022


CONGRATULATIONS!!! As part of the Small Chapter Retention and Growth Campaign, our chapter has been recognized by the National Black Nurses Association, Inc in three categories: (1) Highest Number of Members for the Small Chapter Category; we have 35 members. (2) Highest Number of Student Members for the Small Chapter Category; we have 14 student members. (3) Highest Number of Male Members for the Small Chapter Category; we have 2 male members. Thanks to our members for their continued commitment to our mission of promoting excellence in nursing practice, nursing education and patient advocacy, for inviting others to join us, and for being mentors and role models for our new members. A special thanks to Augusta University's Health Resources and Service Administration for recognizing our organization’s mission and for encouraging their students to become members.

In July, student members Kalon Hightower, Antonio Golden, and Tanai Watson along with their faculty advisor, Dr. Lisa Prince-Clark graciously accepted the awards at the 50th Annual NBNA Institute and Conference in Chicago, Illinois. The students are enrolled in the clinical nurse leader program and will graduate with a Master's Degree in Nursing Leadership.
